About

Local Fest

Santa Barbara County Local Fest is an annual festival that started in 2011 and was created to highlight the area's local: Food, Music, Beer, Wine, and Artists.

The festival will highlight Santa Barbara County’s incredible bounty of locally created delicious foods along with numerous very talented local musicians. What goes better with food and music than locally produced beer and wine? Again, you don’t have to go far to find award winning breweries and wineries. Because people like to shop, and we like to support local artists, there’ll also be local art on display and for sale.

There will also be: a petting zoo, bounce house, and face painting for the kids, free yoga classes, camping both nights, and lots more.

WHO WE ARE

The Village Farmers Market Association (VFMA) is a local, federally recognized 501(c)3, nonprofit organization. VFMA is run and staffed by ALL volunteers allowing us to dedicate all proceeds towards community programs.

Our mission is to educate people, especially kids, about the importance of growing and eating organically grown local food. To help with this mission, we sponsor a weekly farmer's market in Vandenberg Village and have installed 6 raised-bed gardens at Buena Vista Elementary School in support of a weekly after school Garden Club.
